We had 4 superb championship matches in a row on Memorial Day. The fans packed in the spectator stand were treated to some very high quality play and entertaining matches.

It started off in the morning with the Women's Open Singles championship match in which unseeded Sophie Chang with solid strokes and determination defeated her strong rival, Tayler Davis (seeded #2), by a close score of 7-5, 6-4 in a well contested match.

In the next match, Brad Weston, seeded #1, regained the Men's Open Singles Champion title, that he won in 2006, by coming back after losing the first set to Jay Wong (a #5 seed) to win the last 2 sets with a final score of 2-6, 6-3, 6-2. On Saturday, he defeated Aaron Klapper (a #5 seed) in the quarters by a score of 4-6, 7-6, 6-1 and then on Sunday, he defeated Mirko Jovanovic (seeded #3) in the semis by a score of 6-3, 4-6, 6-1.
